Sorceress, enchantress, deceiver, murderer—I’ve been called all those and more, some that might make you blush. Lucky for me, I couldn’t care less what people think about me. I’ve had my sights set on one thing for the last thousand years, and that’s all that matters. I’ll do whatever it takes to find the cauldron, even if it means taking on a partner. They call him a knight in shining armor. For me, he’s my golden ticket. He fell into my lap, quite literally, and now he’s going to help me get what I want.
I don’t play particularly well with others, but he’s the best shot I’ve got, so I’ll hop on that train and hope it gets me where I need to go. He thinks he’s going to crack my shell and see what’s on the inside, like maybe there’s a warm gooey center to make up for the hard exterior. He’s in for a world of disappointment. Everything soft and delicate about me became rough and hardened a long time ago. I’m Morgan Le Fay, and I’m the villain in this story.
I liked alone time as much as the next girl, but after a month alone, I was about to start talking to the birds like some kind of fucked up Disney princess. There’s a reason prisoners are punished with solitary confinement. It sucks.I actually think this is my favorite book in the series (maybe tied with the first book Shadow Play but a whole lot less depressing which instantly bumps it up in my love). I thought the story was interesting and I enjoyed it, but once I was at like 75% (as per my ereader)the plot took a huge shocking twist I never saw coming and I loved every minute! Wow the ending was so good, just what I was wanting without knowing it. Well done Jill, you threw me for a loop and I really hope there will be more books set in the series. I also loved seeing the gang from all the previous books show up- but keep in mind I think Midnight's End could be read as a standalone story since the romance and conflict aspect here was unique to this book. This was another great Fae story and I am so glad that I discovered this dark, dangerous and romantic fae world.

This sounds really unique, dark, and very well written! And I love that it's about the villain, too! I love getting their perspective and motives for the way they are!
