Book Blurb:

Hannah Rae

On stage at a Man Candy night with the music blaring and her hands trailing the oily, well-defined abs of another man is where Hannah-Rae realises that maybe she isn’t as heartbroken about her cheating ex as she had first thought. She had known she needed to make some big decisions about life before flying out to NYC, she just hadn’t expected her heart would be calling all the shots.

Matt

Matt didn’t know why or how his passion for dance had come about. All he knew is that when he was on that stage throwing shapes down, he felt so alive in the moment that he almost forgot about the fact that his family were drowning and there was absolutely nothing he could do about it. Almost.

When chance circumstances bring us together, will dancing bring us something more than either of us expected? After all, 425 Madison is the perfect place to fall in love.

Each Story is completely stand-alone, but you’ll want to read them all, trust me.

Letting go with one of his hands, he slides his fingertips up my back and to the nape of my neck. Some of my hair tangles between his fingers and he squeezes gently, pulling me up toward him again to meet another waiting kiss.

He spins me back around and commands me to take hold of the wheel and not let go. I do as I’m told and cling to it, not even caring about the direction or thinking about anything other than how good his hands feel, now that they are both free to roam over my body. He traces them over my hips and spans my waist before tracing up to the curve of my breasts and cupping them each, over the top of my cardigan.

“I like this, pink suits you,” he whispers softly into my ear.

“I guessed it was pink from the feel of it. It’s light and soft, like cotton candy.”

“It’s cute. Sometimes you look cute. I thought that when I picked you up. Now you don’t look cute, though.”

“I don’t? Then how do I look now?”

“Breath taking.” He says the word so easily that it sounds natural and believable. Even if I don’t believe it myself, he makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the entire city.

My long waves blow free in the evening breeze and it’s eerily quiet with the noise of the city in the distant background. “Your curves are the sexiest thing I’ve ever laid eyes on,” he murmurs as his hands come to rest on my waist, pinching gently as though trying to control himself. I’m not sure I want him to.

My Review:

4 Out Of 5 Stars

Genre: Romance--

I am such a sucker for anything dance related, be it movie, book or competition so when I realized that the entire plot of the story revolved around dance in one way or another I was so excited! This was a fast read that can be enjoyed in a single day and I enjoyed the pacing. I would have loved more dancing, be it independently or together, but that is just me and the book had a nice balance between plot, character development and the sprinkling of the dance. I also enjoyed how much the side character relationships were just as fleshed out, be it the new friends/roommates to the family dynamics. I did find it very interesting to have a main character who was a dancer that was almost completely blind and watch the conflict and complication unfold, it made for a very different plot that I have not read before.

This was so incredible adorable and romantic! When I started the story and the two main characters have their first encounter at a male strip performance I will admit that I was a little concerned as to the direction the story might take. But I am so happy to report that this did not veer off into the sleazy or overly sexual zone that I was worried about- not to say this was PG, but while the author had lots of heat added to the story line, it was more the slow burn and the subtle touches that led to more instead of the insta-sex/love that I am turned off by. I really appreciated the way the relationship developed here and where the conflict in the plot was not necessarily the relationship, more like life challenges in general which I loved. There was no unnecessary angst used in the story and also the message about new unexpected opportunities and open doors was great.

As per all the 425 Madison books, this was a standalone romance set in the apartment building 425 Madison, where each book is written by a different author telling the story of a new couple finding love in New York. I love the concept behind the series and I hope to encounter more series like this where it is a mashup of personalities and skills to bring to life one central idea.
