THE ROOMMATE PROBLEM by Mariah Ankenman
Mile High Happiness, #3
Publication Date: August 10, 2020
Genres: Entangled: Lovestruck, Contemporary Romance, Enemies to Lovers
To Moira “Mo” Rossi, the world is full of sunshine, goodness, and happily ever afters—so of course she figures finding the perfect roomie will be easy. But after four creepos who ask if benefits come with the room and one woman who claims she’s a vampire, Mo is officially desperate. So what if the guy she agrees to on paper ends up being the Derrick Downer to her Sally Sunshine in person? She’s the queen of making lemonade.
August Porter expected his new roommate Mo to be like him—neat, practical, and oh yeah: male. Not the outrageous hippie with more stars in her eyes than there are in the sky. She’s infuriating, exasperating, his exact opposite in every possible way...and the bright ray of sunshine he didn’t even realize his gray world was missing. Suddenly, falling into bed with his roommate isn’t the worst idea he’s ever heard. Just falling in love with her is.
But one of them is keeping a secret that could turn their opposite attraction into utter disaster.
Each book in the Mile High Happiness series is STANDALONE:

My Review:
4 Out Of 5 Stars
Genre: Romance--
August hates all things about city life but loves his grandmother so he sucks it up and temporarily moves to the city to convince his grandmother to sell her flower shop and move out of the city with him- he just has to survive his new roommate Mo. Mo is a happy ray of sunshine who never met a person she didn't instantly like and want to help, but it seems like broody August might just be her toughest opponent.
The Roommate Problem is all the best words- adorable, fun, sweet, hot, cute, likable. I really enjoyed this fast paced, super easy read. I picked it up on afternoon and didn't stop reading until I reached the wonderful conclusion- and yes, this has the best HEA I could have ever hoped for. This was very much a character driven story, with just a little in the plot but big in the personality and relationship dynamics. Mo is full of energy and spontaneity, always up for anything yet with a heart of gold as she tries to help everyone. August is basically her complete opposite. He is quiet and reserved, very introverted and has tons of personal baggage that makes it nearly impossible to open up and trust people. I liked watching Mo bulldoze her way through almost all situations and her self confidence was truly a thing of wonder. I honestly related more to August and his quiet introspection, but I loved seeing Mo and August learn to balance each other.
I discovered after I read this book while on Goodreads that this is the 3rd book in the Mile High Happiness series. I am happy to report that this completely works as a standalone contemporary romance, no previous book is needed to enjoy this story- but that being said, I loved the side characters who just so happen to be the main characters in the other books in the series so I will most certainly be reading more about the Mile High Happiness ladies! This is the perfect read for anyone who loves opposites attract relationships, complicated relationship dynamics and a ending to fill you with warm fuzzies.
